Exceptional guests visiting SANPLAST SA

SANPLAST SA, as one of the largest manufacturers of shower enclosures, bathtubs and shower trays in Poland, is constantly engaged in the development of the industry, but also conducts numerous activities for the local environment. That is why, at the invitation of Sanplast, at the end of August, exceptional guests came to Wymysłowice from the district of Düren and the municipality of Kreuzau in Germany.

Last days were very intense for SANPLAST SA. Wolfgang Spelthahn – District Head of Düren, Anna Margaret Greven - Cooperation and Partnership Specialist, Tilo Busch - Advisor to the sports of the District Head, Stefanie Hienrichs - Member of the Düren district, Dirk Heinrichs - Councilor from Kreuzau and Adolf Breuer - Deputy Mayor of Kreuzau commune came to Sanplast. During their visit, the guests met with representatives of local authorities and institutions: Tomasz Barczak – District Head of Mogilno, Andrzej Konieczka - Head of Department of Education, Culture, Physical Culture and Sport of Mogilno District, Ewaryst Matczak - Mayor of the Town and Municipality of Strzelno, Jarosław Marek - Secretary of the Town and Municipality of Strzelno, Tadeusz Twarużek - Director of the Primary School in Strzelno, Piotr Cieślik - Director of the School Complex in Strzelno and Father Jacek Dziel - Parson Priest Markowice and Representative Caritas. The purpose of the meeting was to present ways of cooperation between the local community and entrepreneurs. An interesting element of the meeting was also the presentation of the commune and district and their statutory activities, presentations of local schools and CSR activities carried out by Sanplast. In addition, it was an opportunity to get to know the partners better and their expectations and conditions for possible Polish-German cooperation.

During their visit, the participants visited the most important monuments of Warsaw and Toruń. Guests also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the important on the map of the kujawsko-pomorskiego province, local tourist attractions such as historic cemetery in Wymysłowice, the Minor Basilica in Markowice and Rotunda Św. Prokop and Basilica of Saint of the Trinity in Strzelno. The important elements of the region's presentation were visits to local schools, which gave the visitors a wider picture of the educational and educational activities undertaken each day.

An important point of the meeting was the presentation of the production possibilities of SANPLAST SA in Wymysłowice and Wood Glass Team in Strzelno. The summary of the exchange of experiences and knowledge of the history and potential of the region took place in a village day-room in Wymysłowice, where conversations were continued and the guests could taste the delicacies of Polish cuisine.

The meeting ended with the handing over of the plaque commemorating the activities of Mr. Urban Thelan as a soldier of the Wehrmacht during his stay in an institution in Inowrocław during World War II. He actively supported Catholics and, together with Father Paweł Matausz, saved the relics of Saint Wojciech against destruction. Until the end of the war, relics were kept in the Church of the Holy Nicolas where Paweł Matausz was priest. In thanks for the activity of Urbana Thelen and in memory of such an important event in the history of our country, President of the Board of Sanplast SA Wiesław Podraza handed over to the Head of the district of Düren the design of the board, which is going to be presented at the house where Urban Thelen had lived.
