A bathroom in a universal style always looks good. Classic white, as well as shades of beige, never go out of fashion. They are associated with purity and optically enlarge the room. Sometimes, however, we want to revive the interior of the bathroom a bit and add a bit of character to it. How to change her appearance to fit more into a modern apartment in an original style?
The most important for the arrangement of the bathroom, is functionality and comfort. The interior is often simple and classic. We choose traditional ceramics and decide mainly on white. There is nothing wrong with it, and such interior always looks good. The decor is out of fashion and is always up to date. However, it is not always neutral what fully suits our tastes. If you want to add some character in arrangement, you can do it in two ways. You can supplement the bathroom with interesting accessories - or try to make bigger changes and replace foe example: elements of fittings or ceramics.
Let's start with simple changes. If you do not expect a renovation of the bathroom and do not want to introduce a revolution, simple and classic décor can be revived easily. The colours traditionally used in bathrooms are so universal that they usually fit virtually to everything and are a perfect base for creating an interesting design. So bring in new energy, using interesting additives in more refreshing colours. Avoid exaggeration and choose a maximum of two or three colours of accessories that matches each other. New bathroom rugs, towels, shower curtains, containers and baskets in vivid colours are a good start to interesting changes. In addition, you can try more custom solutions, such as a fashionable wall mural or graphics on the wall or placing flowers in the bathroom.
Colourful accessories
Very good and interesting effect gives us a combination of different materials. It is worth combining various contrasting textures and surfaces. We can warm up the cool glaze by introducing a bit of softness or nature into the bathroom. The room gets cosier when it comes with plaited mats, wicker baskets, plush or velour rugs. The impression of lightness can be obtained by using hardened glass in the bathroom. A very fashionable material, more and more often used in bathrooms, is also wood. It is good to know that if we choose the right species and the surface is protected from moisture, the wood works very well in the bathroom. It is not true that it can be destroyed in contact with water or hot steam. Wood countertops, furniture or even the floor makes the bathroom certainly not look standard.
Unusual materials
Interesting materials that can be used in a modern bathroom are also a mineral cast. A wooden countertop with a countertop washbasin on it, is now one of the most fashionable trends. The stylized rectangular countertop washbasin can give the interior a very modern and at the same time natural character. This decor still remains minimal and simple.
Modern design
The character of the bathroom can be completely changed by the bathtub's replacement from the traditional one- into an oval freestanding version. If you decide to renovate, you can create a home SPA salon or a luxurious bathing room. The offers of bathroom equipment manufacturers are now much more diverse than a few years ago, so if you have got bored with traditional solutions, you have a whole range of those much less typical.
